Surface pattern designer & illustrator
I’m Camille, an artist and designer from the southwest of France. I spend most of my free time drawing, reading and being active with my two little kids.
I love sweet food, long walks in nature while observing plants and animals, museums, book shops and life before AI 😉
My work begins somewhere small. A ladybug on a fingertip. A snail hidden beneath a garden stone. A strawberry eaten straight from the plant, still warm from the sun. These are the moments my two children have taught me to notice, and the ones I’ve been drawing ever since.
We have wildflowers pressed between book pages, a running list of tiny creatures spotted on our afternoon walks and my sketchbook lives in my bag because inspiration rarely waits.
Not a concept. Not a trend. A specific morning, a specific discovery, a specific moment that made me reach for my sketchbook before it disappeared.
The juicy summer fruits come from the market we visit every Thursday, where my children are allowed to choose one thing each. The botanical motifs come from the wildflower field we pass on the way to my family home, where we once spent twenty minutes watching a bee move between flowers without saying a word. The cut-paper shapes come from rainy afternoons at the kitchen table, scissors in hand, scraps everywhere.
This is what I mean when I say my work is rooted in real life. It’s not a style. It’s a way of paying attention: to the world, to children, to the quiet beauty that’s always there if you slow down enough to see it.
